y = 13x^3 - 5x^2 + 6x - e^cos(10x) y = 4x^3 + x^2 + 14x - e^cos(10x) k so that last part since those r the same they cancel when finding the area between them? does this mean if it at the end of both they said (24x^5) that those would cancel to when finding the area between the 2 things?

im asking why do the e^(cos(10x)) cancel????
No, but when you integrate the difference of the two functions to find the area betweeen the two, that e^(cos(10x)) part got cancelled. see, ∫ (y1-y2 )dx = ∫ 13x^3 - 5x^2 + 6x - e^cos(10x) -( 4x^3 + x^2 + 14x - e^cos(10x) dx =∫( 9x^3 - 6x^2 -8x )dx
oh i c y now XD
