OpenStudy (anonymous):

Fractions are just division problems. So take 5 divided by 6 and 13 divided by 18. See which one is bigger and you will have your answer.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

u need LCD to compare those fractions. you can factor those in your head and multiply.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

loco is right too. just easier if u dont have to divide into decimals.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah your right, it is harder when it is decimals.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

since 5/6 and 13/18 both have 36 in common you can make them the same and multiply the numerators.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if u pay attention denominator of 5/6 can be made as 18 which is same as that of second number my multiplying and didving 5/6 by 3 so you get 15/18 which is greater than 13/18

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do u get it

OpenStudy (anonymous):
