A triangle has the following measurements. What is a possible length for the third side? GH = 19, HJ = 8, JG = ? 17 27 6 11

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

Hint: the shortest the missing side could be is 19-8 = 11 units the longest the missing side could be is 19+8 = 27 units so the missing side length is between 11 and 27 units (exclude 11 and 27) the missing side can't be 11 or 27 or else you would get a straight line (and not a triangle)
