a. How much water is required to produce one kg of corn? b. How much water is required to meet the demand for biofuels in the U.S.? c. How many milliliters of ethanol can be produced with one kilogram of corn?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

non metrically it takes about 26 lbs of corn to make 1 gallon of ethanol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

for b. that would be a crapload of water lol. a 40 mil gallon per year ethanol facility consumes roughly 100million gallons of water. is there a reading that goes a long with this? I would like to read it
