A 30% salt solution is mixed with a 20% salt solution. How many grams of each solution are used to obtain 800 grams of a 22% solution?

OpenStudy (allank):

Let the mass of the 30% be x, and 20% be (800-x). The expression for the 22% solution will be: (0.3x+0.2(800-x))/800*100=22 In word form: Mass of salt/total mass*100=percentage concentration
