u said 3/2 inch na
then for a hexagon total length of sides will be 6*3/2=9 inches...

and inital was 36 inches

so i hope its diluted 4 times to get hexagon b

since 1 1/2 means 3/2 rational number (1+ 1/2) and since a regula rhexagon all the sides are equal hence i multiplied straightly by 6 to represent all sides....
