Over a period of 1 week, the dow jones industrial average did the following: On Monday the DJIA went up 2.5%, on Tuesday it went up 12.1%, on Wednesday it went down by 4.7%,on Thursday it went up by 0.5% and Friday it went down by 5.4%. What was the percentage increase/decrease of the DIJA over the week? Round answer to nearest tenth of a percentage point Btw the answer is an increase of 4.4% (I just don’t know how to do the work so can someone plz show me the work step by step thanks)

Combine increasing% : up 2.5%, up 12.1%, up by 0.5% = ....? Combine decreasing% : down by 4.7%, down by 5.4%. = ....?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok for increasing u get 15.1% and decreasing u get 10.1 %\

Then subtract: ...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok u get 5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but the answer in the back of the book is 4.4% increasing
