Clouds consist of many water droplets. So why don't we observe rainbows in clouds on a sunny day ?

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

clouds are too opaque for us to observe rainbows. To form rainbows, there must be a prism which is transparent.

OpenStudy (ghazi):

how could you see through something which is opaque..(particularly in this case) secondly rain droplets are dispersed in it...so how it is goin to receive light so as to cause total internal reflection

thanks a lot
