Trying to get a better understanding on radicals and such.....can someone explain please how sqrt(2)^3 is equal to 2sqrt2???? Am i missing some key property/rule or something??

|dw:1347752989180:dw| you find the multiples of 8 and it will give you 2 and 4, the square root of 4 is 2 so the 2 will move outside the square root but the remainder 2 will stay inside since 2 doesn't have a square root.
