1. Excel Simulation #1 (20pts): Say that every single class in Full Sail’s Masters Degree in Game Design has a 5% failure rate per month. Say also that when a student fails once, he or she drops from the program. There are twelve months. Given a cohort of 100 that starts the program, about how many are left after twelve months?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what in the crazyness is this

OpenStudy (aripotta):

well you first have to find out what's 5% of 100

OpenStudy (aripotta):

which i believe is 5 lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol i thought so

OpenStudy (aripotta):

so after the first month, you'd only have 95. but what i'm concerned about is whether you'd continue to lose 5 a month, or if it changes because there's less people

OpenStudy (aripotta):

is it multiple choice?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

nope not multiple choice

OpenStudy (aripotta):

darn

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ya this test im doing is off the wall\

OpenStudy (aripotta):

if they just told you if it was a constant 5 people dropping or not, it would be alright

OpenStudy (aripotta):

but since they didn't...

OpenStudy (aripotta):

i guess we'll just go with a constant...5 x 12 = 60 so.....there'd only be 40 left?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thats what i though it would be but i dont know most of my test at fullsail r trick questions

OpenStudy (anonymous):

tey alway try and mess with your head there

OpenStudy (aripotta):

how many points are there in the test?

OpenStudy (aripotta):

maybe it won't hurt so much if you get it wrong

OpenStudy (anonymous):

there r 13 questions worth 20% each

OpenStudy (aripotta):

20 points?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

of my grade for the class

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ya fullsail is messed up

OpenStudy (aripotta):

well, if i was you right now, i'd just give up and say 40. then try my hardest on all the other questions and make sure the ones i've already done were right

OpenStudy (aripotta):

to make sure i got the highest grade possible

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

true true

OpenStudy (aripotta):

well, good luck

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks ill need it
