- "Individuals with William's syndrome have relative sparing of the frontal and temporal lobes and disproportionate reductions in parietal and occipital lobes" My question is: what is meant by "sparing" in this context?

I think it might mean like a metaphorical "fight" between the frontal and temporal lobes. Like, you know how sparing is another word for fighting?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I would have guessed differently and said that those lobes seemed smaller than they should be. I don't think it could possibly mean fighting because of the word "relative" in there
