How Many Solutions does a equation have when you isolate the variable and it equals a constant? explain because I do not know .

when a variable of an equation is made a constant, then how come the eq has many soln??? consider my eqn x+3y=15 and let y is made a constant 0 say then x can have only one value i.e., 15 na??? i hope u understood

x=1 has one solution but x=x has infinite solutions
