np :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lets say y^2 is apples and y is oranges. This means that (7y^2 - 3y) + (8y^2 - 8y) is 7 apples and minus 3 oranges added to 8 apples and minus 8 oranges, 7 apples plus 8 apples is 15 apples. minus 3 oranges added to -8 oranges is -11 oranges. this means you have a total of 15 apples and -11 oranges. Substitute back what apples and oranges mean. You get 15 y^2 -11y
