2x^2+6x=8
type and integer or simplified fraction use commas to sepreate answers if needed
2(x+4)(x-1)
ok so what would the final answer be 3?
im looking for an integer or simplified fraction use commas to seperate answers asneeded
that is the equation simplified, the answer depends on what x is.
So thats an integer or simplified fraction?
good day jlmack07, if you are looking for the roots or the values of x's please use the quadratic formula to find the value. recall that the quadratic equation is \[{-b \pm} \sqrt{b ^{2} - 4ac \over 2a}\]
thats just simplified to make it easyier.
set a = 2 coefficient of x^2 set b = 6 coefficient of x and set c = 8 constant.
OK wow thats way more advanced than where I am so were looking at 6,8 being the answer or has it not reached that stage yet?
nope, wait ill type the answer
Are you asking what x needs to be in order to equall 6 or 8?
ok thanks for your help
\[-\frac{ 3 }{ 2 } \pm 1.3229i\]
that shoul be it therefore simplifying the equation by its nfactor you should be writing the answer as: \[( x - \frac{ 3 }{ 2 } + 1.3229i) (x + \frac{ 3 }{ 2 } + 1.3229i)\]
i hope my answer help you
Thank you for your help now to write that as an integer or simplified fraction with commas seperating as needed how you would you write that?
you should write it simply as complex fraction, \[x = { {(-\frac{ 3 }{ 2 } + 1.3229i)}}, (-\frac{ 3 }{ 2 } - 1.3229i) \]
the answer is 4,1
