What is the difference between the shape of a cubic function and a quadratic function?

the quadratic function looks like a parabola symmetric on both the sides,
and in consideration to cubic equation
1. in case of positive, the left side of symmetry is taken as mirror image from x-axis
2.in case of negative, the right side of symmetry is taken as mirror image from x-axis
