Cindy bought a new computer that was advertised at a 30% reduced price. If the sale price that Cindy paid was $2650, what was the original price of the computer?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it was 70% of the original price, so if the original price was say \(P\) then you know \[0.7P=2650\] solve for \(P\) via \[P=2650\div 0.7\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i have divide 2650 by 0.7 to get the answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

that would do it, yes
