Please help me, I don't understand this---Kayla makes and sells bracelets. She makes $7 on each bracelet she sells. Let b represent the number of bracelets Kayla made. Write an expression for the total amount of money Kayla will make from selling b bracelets

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay, suppose you have a lemonade stand. you sell one glass of lemonade for 2 dollars. suppose you sold ten glasses of lemonade. How much money did you make?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no I know but I dont know how many bracelets she made :/

OpenStudy (phi):

If you knew how many bracelets kayla sold what would the answer be?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If I knew the amount of bracelets she sold then I could do it myself, but it doesnt say anything about how many she sold

OpenStudy (phi):

yes. but answer If you knew how many bracelets kayla sold what would the answer be?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@WhiteFlower , you don't need to know how many bracelets she made.

OpenStudy (phi):

you said If I knew the amount of bracelets she sold then I could do it myself, what would you do?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh :/ ok lol I understand, thanks

OpenStudy (phi):

what would you do?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If Kayla made 10 bracelets she would make $70.

OpenStudy (phi):

you would multiply the number of bracelets times $7 notice that the problem says Let b represent the number of bracelets that means instead of using a number like 10, use a letter b for the number. think like this: b is a number (I just don't know which number) but if you have b bracelets, how much money do you make when you sell them for $7 each?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh, ok THANKS!!!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol

OpenStudy (phi):

what do you get for the answer?
