OpenStudy (ujjwal):

What is the difference between gravitational lensing and refraction? Difference in terms of their effects or the way they affect light.. Of course i know that one occurs in presence of strong gravitational field while the other occurs in presence of lens..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

There's no chromatic aberration with gravitational lensing.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

gravitational lensing does not affect speed while refraction means bending of light due to a change in speed on a change in medium.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

light particles faces more resistance while passing through denser mediam and so the velocity of particles decrease, and they bend their path.
