do vectors that are cross product-ed have to start at the same point?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Vectors fill the space, you can't really say it starts somewere because it starts everywhere

i accept that but can the above vectors be cross product-ed?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i.e. what will the angle theta be in |a x b| = |a||b|sin(theta) ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes, because of what I said, but that applies to mathematics, where vectors do not have a physical meaning, if you are working on a physics problem it might not work

OpenStudy (anonymous):

For the angle it is the angle that changes the direction of one vector to the direction of the other so it would be like the drawing|dw:1347913003282:dw|
