Checking (1,1) 2x + y > 8 2(1) + 1 > 8 ... Plug in x = 1 and y = 1 2 + 1 > 8 3 > 8 This is FALSE. So (1,1) is NOT in the solution set
Repeat this with the other answer choices until you find two true inequalities
