at the beginning of 1995 the town of canyon ridge had 1,700 residents the rate of the population growth after that was 6% per year estimate the population at the beginning of 2005? anyone?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

At the end of each year, the population is 106% compared to the beginning of the year. At the end of the next, it another factor of 106%, etc. So, you will be using a factor of A(1.06)^n where n represents the passage of time and A is the beginning population.

So, n is determined by the number of years, so you will have to pull that out of the question. (I know it but I can't tell you the value, you should be able to get that easily though).

Thank you !

OpenStudy (anonymous):

How this is all figured is at the end of the first year, the population is A(1.06). At the end of the second, it is A(1.06)(1.06) or A(1.06)^2
