If the instructions are to "simplify", there's not much you can do. :\ They may be waiting for you to make the fatal mistake. If it's "evaluate", then just plug it into a calculator.

The fatal mistake being sqrt(3) + sqrt(7) = sqrt(10) Do NOT do this :D
