okay i got a new question.... Estimate the tax on Vira's new shoes it's $89.00+6.25 and i got 556.25 but my choices are A. $5.40 ......B. $4.50 ......C. $6.30 .....D. $7.20
how is that right $89.00+6.25 and i got 556.25
sorry it's because to 6.25 is the tax and i thought you had to times it?
write the problem the way it is not the way you did it
is 6.25 a percent like this 6.25%
if that is the way it is you have to change the percent to a decimal like this .0625 then multiply that by $89.00
so the exact equation it $89+6.25tax
and i got 95.25 then i subtracted 89.00 from that and got 6.25 again and that rounded off would be about 6.30? Right
the choices don't really match the problem but that is the one i would go with
okay well it says estimate ? so But thanx :)! i understand it now
