Why did the British abandon Boston in early 1776?

OpenStudy (chrisneedshelp):

due to attacks from the natives, and the early colonist who had settled there, even the continental troops were advancing to bostons fronts causing the lost british to flee the area which helped us while we were winning the war down here in manhattan the hudson river valley

let me restate that lol might have thrown you off

OpenStudy (chrisneedshelp):

the continental army or blue coats (the USA TROOPS) had been devastating the red coat troops in the south and east, the british had no were to go, the waters had been flooded by french troops causing the british to retreat north to the mountains fleeing boston, but there was a halt up north because the french owned canada and the indians from the mountains had been also hunting the british that was it checkmate they lost
