An old puzzle, but worth asking: There are three boxes. One has apples, one has oranges and the other has apples and oranges. The boxes are labeled wrong so that no label is correct. Tara opens just one box, and without looking in the box, takes out one piece of fruit. She looks at the fruit and immediately labels all the boxes correctly. Which box did she open and how did she know?
cn i tell the ans?
u know! tell in 5 minutes, so that others can try....
apples and oranges
apples and oranges
correct..
james, can u explain ?
Apples and oranges yess
the apples and oranges had a baby, making it an appange. you wouldn't find an appange in the boxes with just oranges or apples.
You know that since none of the labels are correct the box must either contain only apples or only oranges
appange....interesting....
if she picked apple. then "ao" is a "o" must be different since a is already taken it must be ao a must be o
if she picked orange. then "ao" is o a must be different since o is already taken it must be ao
photoshopped,maybe
Is the answer given?
yup, with explanation.....
i'll post another one for u soon.
Can I try?
sure, but don't expect medal, its already given....
Ok
I think she must open the box that is labelled apple and orange
thats right, how ?

Because in that box it can either have apple or mango only
orange
As all the labels are incorrect
