The system takes far to long to gain SmartScore, I've been at 65 for awhile and can't even budge. Have the staff ever thought of lowering the amount of medals/questions/activity needed to gain SmartScore?
There's no fixed amount. So, the thing that determines SmartScore is your raw score. Specifically, SmartScore is a relative measure. If you've been at 65 for awhile, then you've been about as active as all the other users who are at 65. If you want your SmartScore to increase more rapidly, then you need to be more active than the other users who are also 65. The fact of the matter is that at a certain point, it's supposed to be challenging. This isn't like a video game where if you jump through the hoops you get levels (at one time we did have a system like that, though). People that make it to the higher SmartScores do so because they consistently get medals from people who ask questions and are active on the site frequently.
So it's determined by activity? That's not fair, I get online about three or four times a week for an hour or so and manage to help tons of members. It's really a disadvantage for people in my position.
