@amistre64 help?

OpenStudy (amistre64):

the type of boundary line, do you know i remember it?

OpenStudy (amistre64):

\(\le\) and \(\ge\) have solid lines under them; so the boundary would have to have a solid line; otherwise, not solid

OpenStudy (amistre64):

so, which type of boundary line does this question pose?

OpenStudy (amistre64):

the boundary line itself; from the equation given and my clue; would you be able to determine the nature of the line itself? (solid or dashed)

OpenStudy (amistre64):

\[-4x - y ~\ge -8\] ^since this has a solid line under it, the boundary line will be solid as well

OpenStudy (amistre64):

all thats left is to plug in the values of the origin into x and y and see if the statement is true; if true, shaded the origin side of the boundary line if false, shaded the other side
