I was looking at this definition: " a high point of land or rock projecting into the sea or other water beyond the line of coast; a headland. " thinking land-fields, but now that I read it more high point of land or rock sounds more like D.

Rocky outcropping sounds more precise because of the use of the term "outcropping" - it juts out into the ocean.
