How can you tell if there is more than one zero root in a polynomial?

OpenStudy (bahrom7893):

well look at the power of x.. the power tells you how many roots it has (unless it has repeated roots, which is basically the same root twice)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so is it possible for the root of zero to be repeated twice? and if so how do you tell?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Take that back, I know its possible.
