a vertical line goes through the point(-3,10) what is the equation of the horizontal line going through the same point?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Horizontal lines have the form: \[y=c\] Where c is the x co-ordinate of any point it passes through. Can you figure it out now?

can you please solve it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I meant y co-ordinate. You want a horizontal line which goes through (-3, 10). Horizontal means that the y value will stay the same wherever you are on the line. You know that at one point the y value is 10, so it will always be this. Hence the equation is: \[y=10\]
