What is the sum of all of the multiples of 6 between 6 and 999?

I have figured out similar ones with no issue, but I'm always a little bit off. The answer is 82665 if I'm remembering correctly.

82665 can't be the answer..all the multiples of 6 are even and the sum of even numbers is even. Your 'answer' is an odd number

I just checked again, and it says in the answer key that that is the answer... But now that you mention it, it doesn't make sense to me either.
