Which is a solution of the inequality? p + 4 – 2(p – 10) > 0 A. 29 B. 26 C. 24 D. 22

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[p+4-2(p-10)>0\]\[p+4-2p+20>0\]\[p-2p+4+20>0\]\[-p+24>0\]\[-p+24-24>0-24\]\[-p >-24\]\[p >24\] the answer is C

Thank you!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

u're welcome

OpenStudy (kropot72):

-p > -24 When we multiply both sides by -1 the inequality sign must be reversed. p < 24 Therefore D. 22 is the only correct solution.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@EchaSetiaWijaya, what do you have to say about this?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Is kropot72 correct, or no?

OpenStudy (kropot72):

If you try 24 as a solution you get 0 > 0 which is obviously incorrect.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Seems legit, thank you, @kropot72

OpenStudy (kropot72):

You're welcome :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):
