In any OS with a POSIX API when a child process is created.... the child shares system resources with it's parent or some of parent's resources are alloted to the child so y go for threads in a OS with POSIX API say a unix machine? I mean we can just create a new child process instead of a thread!!!

um thanks @nick67 sir can u help me with some thin i referred to wiki(pedia) about a handle wiki says it's an abstract reference to a resource and now what does a signal handler mean? are these two both different?
