The LCD is the lowest common multiple of our denominators.

OpenStudy (aripotta):

did you still need help on this?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (aripotta):

ok, so all you have to do is multiply the two denominators. so 4 x 6 = 24. to rewrite the fractions, you have to multiply the numerator and what you multiplied the denominator. so for 3/4, we multiplied 4 and 6, so 3 x 6 = 18. so that fraction is 18/24 and the other is 4/24

OpenStudy (aripotta):

did you understand that?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (aripotta):

ok, so can you do letter b?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yep :)
