3a³b – 4ab² + a²

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what is your job, factor?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Explain whether the polynomials below are written in standard form. If not, use complete sentences to explain how to write the polynomial in standard form.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Please help me i have no idea how to do this...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i think it is already in standard form because the terms are written in descending order of degrees

OpenStudy (anonymous):

degree of \(3a^3b\) is \(3+1=4\) degree of \(-4ab^2\) is \(1+2=3\) and degree of \(a^2\) is \(2\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay i thought that was in standard from , but this one isnt. This is the last one i need help with –8x²y ²+ 10xy^4 – 6x²y

OpenStudy (anonymous):

please help me

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes it is not. To do so exchange the place of the first term with the second.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

10xy^4–8x²y– 6x²y

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is that correct? :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It is but make -8x^2y^2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

why? wait what would the full answer be ? :( please

OpenStudy (anonymous):

10xy^4-8x^2y^2-6x^2y

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank you so much, you are such a huge help!
