What is the 115th derivative of sin(x)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

d115/dx sin(x)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sin, cos, -sin, -cos, sin and repeats......

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yea, I actually tried and i got -cos(x), can u see if it is right

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i know it goes back to sin every 4 times so 4x18=112 and then i just did the rest by hand

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[\text{Mod}[115,4]=3 \to -\text{Cos}[ x] \]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok thanks! i got this answer too!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thank you for the medal.

115/4 Remainder three: |dw:1348155531290:dw| Derivative = counterclockwise Anti-Derivative = clockwise Since the remainder is 1, start from sin x and go counterclockwise 1 positions leads to -cos(x)
