Can someone help me differentiate heterogeneous & homogeneous mixtures?

A heterogeneous mixture is a mixture that you can see the particles that are either settles in or floats around. A heterogeneous have two types- Suspension and Colloid. A homogeneous mixture has fixed ratios like salt water. A type of homogeneous is a solution.
