Going to be taking an astronomy course on Coursera in November. It looks good, but the recommended reading -- at least this one is crap: http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/General_Astronomy (I've made tons of edits myself). Can anyone suggest an alternative intro that won't cost me $150 and get me more or less the same info? Digital (Kindle) is preferable, but I can work with PDFs.
