12 + 2y = 10 y - 2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

subtract 10y from both sides

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you never going to get any where if you don't try

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i got 12 + -8y = 12

OpenStudy (callisto):

Can you tell us how you get to that step?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i subtrated 10y from both sides

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do i add 12 to both sides now

OpenStudy (callisto):

So, you subtracted 10y from both sides, you should get 12 + 2y = 10 y - 2 12 + 2y -10y = 10 y - 2 - 10y 12 - 8y = -2 When you add 12 to both sides, what would you get? (PS: it's not a right/good direction but let see)
