hartnn (hartnn):
slope intercept form :
y=mx+c
so try and isolate y.
y=......
OpenStudy (anonymous):
first find the value of m then y = mx+c
OpenStudy (anonymous):
idk how
OpenStudy (anonymous):
what is m
hartnn (hartnn):
first subtract (3/4)x from both sides.

m means slope or we can say y\x
OpenStudy (anonymous):
(4/5)y=4-(3/4)x
hartnn (hartnn):
right :)
now multiply (5/4) to each term on both sides.
OpenStudy (anonymous):
how did u get 5/4?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
it is done to make y on one side

hartnn (hartnn):
as 4/5 is multiplied by y
to isolate y, i multiply by its reciprocal
so that
(5/4)(4/5) y = 1 y = y
OpenStudy (anonymous):
ok
OpenStudy (anonymous):
u understood or just idk
OpenStudy (anonymous):
y=(5/4)4-(3/4)x idk how to simplify
hartnn (hartnn):
5/4 * 4 = 5
isn't it ?

hartnn (hartnn):
plus u didn't multiply 5/4 to x term
OpenStudy (anonymous):
idk...
OpenStudy (anonymous):
you dont need to simply it more thats answer
OpenStudy (anonymous):
2x
OpenStudy (anonymous):
so y=5 2x ?

ok, i'll write steps, see whether u understand:
(4/5)y=4-(3/4)x
y= 4*(5/4)- (3/4)(5/4)x
y= 5 - 15/16 x
comparing with y=mx+c
m= slope = -15/16
c= y-intercept = 5
OpenStudy (anonymous):
no it should be y=3\4x + 5
hartnn (hartnn):
please check your calculations @uzumakhi
OpenStudy (anonymous):
got it :D
OpenStudy (anonymous):
so now x
