Additive inverse is what you add to a number to get zero. B shows multiplication... can't be correct. C shows changing the order of terms in a sum, which is commutative. D shows grouping terms in a sum, which is associative. A shows that "negative 2" is the additive inverse of 2, because they add to equal zero.
