If you don't know what an absolute value graph looks like already, you could pick some numbers for x and see what the graph looks like Try -3, -2,-1, 0, 1, 2, 3

I'm not doing the problem for you. But if you plug those numbers in for x then you can find y. And that gets you a point (x, y) graph out the different points and see what the graph looks like.
