memorize formulas as LEAST as possible. Learn to get the formulas yourself

Sleep well. You can't think well when tired. I've also always tried to picture how the math goes and it helps to use colors to better understand what you've drawn.

doing that helps you practice at the same time it makes memorizing the formula easier. It's killing two birds with one stone

yeah, try to make sure you understand where those formulas come from and what they mean. I don't think many people can learn it by just listening so you have to do figure it yourself. Ask help if you get stuck about understanding some step. The harder it was, the greater the satisfaction once you get it. :P

@Hezekieli sometimes formals are made for other formulas and that's can make it:

1. not sure where to start
2. what background info i need to know

2. Take classnotes
3. Do your homework for understanding and not completion
4. Come to OS to discuss topics until you understand them
5. Study, study,....... you can never study too much
