Please help Solve by factoring 3x^2+19x-50=0 x=

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Are you familiar with the general solution to the quadratic?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Somewhat

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x = [-b +- sqrt(b^2 - 4ac)] / (2a)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Nope never seen anything like that

OpenStudy (anonymous):

this one I know is supose to be done by factoring not quad

OpenStudy (anonymous):

This is for equations of the form ax^2 + bx + c = 0. Just make the substitutions and you will have your answer. Ok, just got your last comment about factoring.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Site down in three can you make an exceptino and help me with the answers to this one please

OpenStudy (anonymous):

For factoring method: done by setting up (3x + 25) (x - 2)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so its 25-2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So, x = 2 or -25/3

thank you so much
