An autobiography is someone writing about his/her own life. A biography is someone writing about the life of someone else. Therefore the answer is A because when you read an autobiography you are reading about the writer.

I agree with the answer given by Confucious.  A biography is the true story of someone's life written by another person.  An autobiography is the true story of someone's life written by that person.  So, the answer is A.
