Maybe :) What question do you have?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A Parent died and left an estate to four children. One inherited 1/9 of the estate, the Second inherited 5/81, and the third inherited 17/27. How much did the Fourth Inherited? Type a simplified fractions

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the whole estate is 1, so all the fractions have to add to equal 1 (1/9) + (5/81) + (17/27) + X = 1 where X is the fourth inheritance amount

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Then you need to find common denominators for each of the fractions to add them. Hint: 81 and 27 are both multiples of 9, and 81 is also a multiple of 27.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Once you have a common denominator and have added them all up, subtract the total from 1... and you will want to express 1 as (81/81) to have the common denominator

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That answer will be the 4th inheritance amount.
