A Parent died and left an estate to four children. One inherited 1/9 of the estate, the Second inherited 5/81, and the third inherited 17/27. How much did the Fourth Inherited?

(1/9) + (5/81) + (17/27) + X = 1 where X is the fourth inheritance amount

Then you need to find common denominators for each of the fractions to add them. Hint: 81 and 27 are both multiples of 9, and 81 is also a multiple of 27.
