please help... solve for x i'll draw out the problem
|dw:1348196000973:dw|
So you want 5x + 125 = 3x + 15?
i tried that and i got x=-55, but I got it wrong
well the line that is going from left to right is wrong..
Because that indicates negative slope, which would be -x in the equation
So does that mean it's -5x + 125?
i dont know. all i know is that their linear
Is that all you were given?
no but on my paper it indicates it. im going to take a picture of it and post it so you can see
those angles are supplementary--->sum = 180 5x+125 + 3x+15 =180 now solve for x.
oh so you add them together?
Added and equated the sum to 180, because thats the property of supplementary angles.
is the answer 35 ?
8x+140=180 8x=40 x=5
x=5 ?
yup.
x = 5 degrees?
oh, yes...it must be degrees, because 180 i wrote is in degrees.
oh ok, can i ask you like 2 more questions?
and the angles are 150 and 30. new question, new post,please :)
wait so what's the actual answer? sorry
u wanted to find x. so final answer = x=5 degrees.
oh ok let me draw out the next question thanks
