How could I group 12b^2-17b+6 to factor by grouping? I've already tried 12b^2-10b-7b+6 but it doesn't make sense to me...

OpenStudy (dape):

Try this \[ 12b^2-17b+6=(12b^2-8b)+(-9b+6) \]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

12b^2 - 8b - 9b +6 4b(3b - 2) - 3 (3b -2)

I just figured it out, I was missing the 8 and 9. Thanks for all the help, I appreciate it!
