What is the main idea of the "I Have a Dream" speech by martin luther?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@beenmodel2 The main idea of that speech is that he envisioned -(a dream that he wants to become true)- that the blacks and the whites would one day be equal. He also wanted to say that no matter what color, race, or religion you are/you have you should be treated equally. (This was actually written on the United States Constitution). This influenced/ resulted the Americans to give black people rights and that's why blacks have a say on everything and they also have the rights all people have today. (But sometimes they still treat blacks like the olden days but MLK has left a big impact about that) Is that helpful enough?

The main idea is freedom and equality for blacks and whites. That was mr,martin luther king"s dream that all people could be treated like human beings and be given fair and equal treatment in all aspects of life. He wanted to make his dream a reality by saying his speech and bringing all the blacks together.because after all you are stronger united.Hope this helps.
