These are not negatives, the line is suppose to be near the top of the numbers but I couldn't figure out how to get it up there.

What is that symbol called?
Well if the power to 2 is included then the negative sign disappears if it is and even power 2,4,6,8...etc. the minus sign is included it is still negative if it is a negative exponent
If i take all the actual values as you put them with the answers would be: a. -5 b. 19 c. 9 d. -9 e. -13 f. -16 g. -32 h. see F
